Implement an Environmental Policy Statement For Your Business
To implement an Environmental Policy Statement providing key elements such as call to action, justification, to whom the policy applies, how it is to be implemented along with who is responsible for implementing the policy is a very key factor in the success of your business. Also how the policy will be evaluated and the guidelines of the policy. Your business should be supported with programs, funds, training and resources, to enable you to meet environmental responsibilities, maintain your reputation for your environmental commitment, and minimize legal risks. Environmental responsibilities vary a great deal by job. They vary by local, state or country legal requirements, or according to international standards. Your business know the environment laws, regulations and company policies that apply to your business, according to your location and comply with them. This policy should apply to all of your local communities where you make and sell your product, and your consumers. It also should apply to your suppliers where you get supplies needed to operate. This policy should apply to all staff, including all managers, assistant manager and all other employees at all of your locations in the different states. The policy should be implemented through advertising. The advertising forms would include slides and different handouts for the managers to use during there training. This advertising would really implement the environmental policy to the employees so they would get a chance to get a firm idea of it. Those who would be responsible for implementing this Environmental Policy Statement are all Managers and Asst. Managers at each location. Management would also provide environmental training for employees where appropriate to encourage employees to conduct their activities in an environmentally responsible manner. Managers would be responsible for ensuring that environmental standards are shared with each employee and maintained throughout your facilities. Management would conduct regular environmental assessments at each facility and make recommendations for improvement, also reviewing any impact on the environment during corporate planning and decision making. Guiding principles should be as follows: Meet all applicable legislation and regulations concerning environmental requirements All sound scientific principles and fiscally responsible public policy we will be in a position to promote. Design and manage all facilities to promote energy efficiency and protect the environment. Recycle materials at every state. To ensure all employees are aware of their role and sustain environmental management systems and policy with a goal of continuous improvement and continually assess the impact of each of your locations nationwide on the environment and the communities. |
